UPDATE: TESTERS ARE - CARMEN, LORA, CRISTAL, MELANI, JEWEL, CAPRICE, RHONDA, BARBARA, JOAN
I created this yarn doily this past spring and completely forgot to put it out there for testing. It will fit very nicely on a round end table or night stand. It's approximately 20" across and really quite pretty.
Testing for this pattern must be done with yarn, not thread and you can use whatever 3 different colors you'd like. This pattern is not for a beginner to crocheting. It is more of the an Intermediate level so please don't ask to test it if you are a beginner.
If you'd like to test, please send me your FOLLOWER name and read below:
1. You must be willing to send me a picture of your completed doily as an attachment in an email.
2. Send me error's or corrections in emails as you find them.
3. Must be an intermediate crocheter.
4. Complete the project by December 11th and send me revisions and your picture by then.

Testers Found - Christmas Mitten and Peace Sign
UPDATE: TESTERS ARE SANDRA, CAPRICE, MISTI, TARA, DOTTIE
TESTERS ARE: MELANE, NORMA, MARIE, SANDRA, JEWEL
Once again, testers are wanted for 2 more Christmas patterns. You can use whatever colors of yarn you want to test the patterns.
So now we have the:
Christmas tree
Candy Cane
Christmas Wreath
Christmas Bell
Chrstmas Heart
Christmas Mitten
Christmas Peace Sign
Just a few more to go after this and it would be a cool Christmas afghan. I'd prefer not to send both patterns to any one tester so that we give other's a chance to be a tester. Of course, if I don't get enough people to test the patterns, you can always ask to test the other pattern.
1. Must be a follower.
2. Must be able to finish testing by Wednesday night.
3. Must be able to send me a picture of your finished square attached to an email.
4. Must be able to send me errors of any kind you find in the pattern.
So if you want to test, send me an email to the address below with your Follower name.

Backloop Scarf - Free Pattern
SCARVES FOR SENIORS PROJECT
A good friend of mine works at a rest home in Massachusetts and he has started a project called "Scarves for Seniors." One of my favorite patterns is just a simple scarf that I know is so simple it can't be claimed as an original pattern so I make no claims to it being my pattern. I'll just type up the pattern below for those who might be interested in using it.
Please crochet or knit a scarf (use whatever pattern you'd like) for a less fortunate, deserving senior citizen, many of whom will have no one and receive nothing for the holidays. When your scarf is complete, email Lee at Distinctives123@verizon.net for the address. He works the night shift and will sort the scarves into male and female scarves and pass them out. Let's bring some cheer to others in need this year.
UPDATE: LEE WROTE ME THE FOLLOWING:
I am not looking for any certain colors or patterns only that the scarf be long and wide enough for resident to double over ( it gets very windy). IF the person making the scarf felt led to include a little note to resident that is also welcomed as they do not get much mail. Also include their email addy so I can email that scarf arrived and thank them too. Like I had said after I will sit with residents and help to write out thank you notes - residents will enjoy this! Thanks Donna. I will keep you informed of how it is going.
SO sad that these people have no one. We have 22 residents - will be getting a new lady tomorrow she is 95. Only three of them have family that call or come by and then not often enough. The home can hold up to 29. My mailing address is:
Lee Imbriani / 5 Daniels Hgts #8/ Fitchburg, MA 01420
Thanks again, Lee

Testers Found - Christmas Bell and Wreath squares
UPDATE TESTERS ARE: JOAN, MISTI, MARION, MARIE, DOTTIE, AURORA
I've been so busy I completely forgot I have some more Christmas square patterns finished and ready for testing. I figure with the Christmas tree and the Candy Cane pattern that was posted a while back, these two patterns and a few other's I'm working on, it would be a cool Christmas afghan. I'd prefer not to send both patterns at once to a tester. Test one then request the other and if I don't have enough testers, I'll send the second pattern.
1. Must be a follower.
2. Must be able to finish testing by Wednesday night.
3. Must be able to send me a picture of your finished square attached to an email.
4. Must be able to send me errors of any kind you find in the pattern.
So if you want to test, send me an email to the address below with your Follower name.

HELPFUL HINT: I used transparent beads so this required that I use a white or off white color of yarn. I don’t suggest using transparent beads with a colored yarn.
When working with beads, they get very heavy on your strand of yarn and can become very awkward until they are all used within the piece you are crocheting. I put approximately 100 beads on the strand before I began crocheting. You can put half that amount and work the scarf until you run out of beads, cut yarn and finish off the tail, then add the remaining 50 beads to the fresh yarn end and begin crocheting where you left off. Make sure you always skip the first stitch on the edge of each row. I wouldn’t suggest cutting the yarn and adding the remaining beads UNLESS when you tie the two pieces of yarn together, your beads can slide over the knot.
When your un-used string of beads get close to the scarf, pull more yarn from your skein and slide the string away from the piece you are crocheting.
Instructions:
THREAD ONTO YOUR YARN 2 BEADS FOR EACH ROW THAT YOU WANT BEADS ON. BEAD STITCHES ARE WORKED ON WRONG SIDE OF SCARF SO THEY WILL APPEAR ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCARF.
Row 1: RS: Ch 15, turn, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 5 ch, sk 1 st, ch 2, dc in last 6 sts. (12 dc)
Row 2: WS: Turn, sl st into next st, ch 3, dc in next st, Bead-dc in next st [see special instructions], dc in next 2 sts, small shell in ch-2 st, dc in next 2 sts, Bead-dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, sk last st. (12 dc)
Row 3: RS: Turn, sl st into next st, ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, small shell in ch-2 st, dc in next 5 sts, sk last st. (12 dc)
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for the length of the scarf.

Email address
I've had several people request the Free Pattern for the Peace Sign but when I try to respond to their email addresses, it kicks back and says that the email address is bad.
Today, the person it kicked back on was Michelle Robinson. So if you are Michelle Robinson, or anyone who requested the pattern but haven't received it, please email me again with an alternative email address.
Thanks!
