Testers here are the instructions to post a project on Ravelry
1.     Click on the link below
3.     It takes you to the pattern page – you will need to log-in to Ravelry to see the “Hook it” icon in step 4
4.     Click on the "Hook it" icon in the top right area
5.     It will let you fill in the blanks, name your own name for the piece you
worked.  You can name it whatever you want.  Example:  Sparkles’s  blah blah blah.  It will let you rate the pattern also.  So you enter all the information about your "project" like, did you like it, did you have to add a round of sc's to make it the right size, what yarn you used etc and then you save that. General notes for other people who
will see it.
6.     Then there is a tab so you can add your pictures of your square or blanket or multiple squares with the same pattern.
If you had already created your project on Ravelry before I posted the pattern, you will need to go to the link above – highlight and copy the BOLD name of the pattern that I named it.  Then go to your project page and put in this name as the pattern name link.

It's really kind of easy.

Mystery Baby Blankie - pattern updates corrected

I'm so very sorry for all of the headache's lately regarding the mystery CAL.  I tried a new program that would let people print the pattern directly from the blog.  What I didn't know is that if someone reported an error, the program that I was using to print was not updating when I changed the pattern.

I just decided to go ahead and put the clue's as a download on Ravelry for right now, which is the old way of doing it.  Hopefully you still want to continue.  I'm very distraught over the entire fiasco.  Crocheting is supposed to be calming.  I'm highly stressed about this but believe I have it working now.

I deleted all older postings of the pattern and hope you will continue to participate.

SmoothFox Mystery Crochet-A-Long Baby Blankie

Are you up to the challenge of creating a
MYSTERY BABY BLANKIE
as a CROCHET-A-LONG?

That's right.  We will be crocheting a one-piece, flat (no squares to piece together) MYSTERY Baby Blankie as a Crochet-A-Long also known as a CAL.  Everyone can go at their own pace, use their own yarn color choices.  However, once all of the clues are out, it will only be available for a short period as a free pattern.  So get'em while they are available.

I will post clues to the pattern every few days or I'll wait for about 10 people to post comments or email me that they are ready for the next clues and I'll  be crocheting the blankie along with you.

I'm making my blankie for a baby boy so I am using beautiful lime green, turquoise, and white.  I will list the yarn I am using but feel free to select your own colors. I have made the blanket over half way through one time and then decided I wanted different colors so I'm starting over.  I'm quite sure that colors A and B will have plenty in the skeins to complete the blanket.  Just to be on the safe side though, color C should be 2 skeins.

If anyone finds an error in any clues, please email me (see below) and I will come back to the blog and make the corrections in a different color of ink.

The first clue will be in the next blog post.  I'll include a short YouTube video for newer crocheter's who might not know how to change yarn colors while crocheting.

If you decide to join in the Crochet-A-Long for the Mystery Baby Blankie please follow this link and click on the crochet hook to show your interest in this project.  You must be signed into Ravelry to add this as a project.

YouTube video's - Learn to knit a hat on circular needles

SmoothFoxHelperCindy is learning to knit so I decided to make her a few video's.  After making the video's for her, I thought a couple of people out there might want to watch them also so I've made them available to the public.  I'm not an expert knitter and don't claim to be.  Anyone new to knitting who wants to follow along, we will be knitting a simple stripped knitted hat.  I've just been updated today - finally - with YouTube so I can now make longer video's.  We're not talking full length movies mind ya LOL, however I should be able to get a full project into one video.

When I was first learning to knit I searched for video's to learn to knit a hat.  However I wanted it put together all in one project so I could see how a full hat was made.  All I found were video's that never showed the entire project so I was highly frustrated.  There are 4 video's below and I'll be adding more to this blog posting to complete the entire hat within the next few days.

I'm hoping that Cindy doesn't get to frustrated in me because I'm not an expert but I just figured she could watch more experienced knitters if she got stumped on a certain part or I could do another video.  My problem in these video's is that Cindy is working the hat flat (not on a circular knitting needle) and I'm trying to show her how to use circular knitting needles for a hat.

I have no doubt that those experienced knitters out there who are familiar with working a hat "flat" will find fault with the video's and if you will email me (not all at once) with my mistakes, as I still have more video's to make for Cindy, I'll address what I told her in prior video's that was incorrect from your emails.
