Testers Found - Fox's Just Peachy Blossom Square 6x6

UPDATE - TESTERS ARE: ANNIKA, JEWEL, LAVINA, DENA, KAREN, DOTTIE, VIOLA, LEAH, JOAN

If you want to be a tester, read the instructions below and let's get started! Remember, everyone who tests any of the patterns will have their picture of the completed tested item shown in the blog next to their name as a tester. So show off your talents. I'd really like it if when I put the pattern up on Ravelry, if each tester or person who works this pattern would add it as a project there so I can post a link to everyone who makes this items pictures.

There are TWO patterns in this one pattern.  One with a one color flower and one with a tri-colored flower.  Please be prepared to do BOTH squares.

1. Must be a follower of this blog and a subscriber. Not a follower yet? Sign up. Let me know your follower name.

2. Must be able to finish testing by Saturday May 29th.

3. Must be able to send me a picture of your finished item attached to an email.

4. Must be able to send me errors of any kind you find in the pattern.

5. It'd be a plus but is not mandatory, if you were a member of Ravelry so you can add the project when the pattern opens up to everyone.

6. You can use whatever color of 3 ply medium worsted you'd like. If you decide to use 4 ply instead, please let me know what size of square you get and what size hook you used.  If you want to test, send me an email to the address below with your Follower name. Only the first 5 or so testers emailing me will receive the pattern to test.

FINISHING
Fold the hat in half with WRONG SIDE OUT. Matching stitch to stitch, using a yarn needle and the 18” yarn tail, whip stitch last row to first row (do this at least two times for the first stitch and last stitch at top). Continue to whip stitch up the side of the hat to the top forming a tube. When you reach the top of the hat, put extra whip stitches in the last stitch up the side, work a running stitch along the side rows of one edge of the tube (top of hat). Pull yarn taught to secure the yarn. If adding a pom-pom do not cut yarn tail yet.

OPTIONAL POM-POM
Use a large pom-pom maker or cut a piece of cardboard about 4” square. Wrap Yarn around square about 100 to 125 times. Slip yarn off square and firmly tie a 12” piece of yarn around the middle. Leave the tie ends long to attach the pom-pom. Cut loops at each end and trim to a smooth ball.

Turn hat right side out, thread yarn tail of pom-pom into the Yarn Needle and with Pom-Pom attached insert yarn needle through small opening at top of hat. Working inside of the hat on the wrong side, using the long tail ends from whip stitching the hat and the pom-pom yarn tail, tie together both sets of yarn tails together many times. Cut yarn tails very short or weave in all ends.

Testers Found - Fox's Brain Dead Easy Short Row Hat

UPDATE: TESTERS ARE - RHONDA, KARIN, AISHA, LEAH, LINDSEY, TINA, VIOLA, PAULA

I created the pattern for this hat when I was a teenager (alright that makes it ancient) and it may be simular to pictures I've seen but trust me. It's my version from about 1969.

When a Grandmother asked me to create 4 hats for her two cute grandchildren whose father was stationed in Afghanistan a couple of months ago, I went back in my memory to this pattern. It took me hours and hours and many ripping out of stitches to get it right.  Hence, brain dead was the name because my brain was simply fried when I finally got it just right.  Oh and this pattern makes it less full at the top so it is not as bunched when forming the top.

1. Must be a follower of this blog and a subscriber. Not a follower yet? Sign up. Let me know your follower name.

2. Must be able to finish testing by Monday May 24th.

3. Must be able to send me a picture of your finished item attached to an email.

4. Must be able to send me errors of any kind you find in the pattern.

5. It'd be a plus but is not mandatory, if you were a member of Ravelry so you can add the project when the pattern opens up to everyone.

6. You can use whatever color of 4 ply medium worsted you'd like. MUST BE A STRETCHY YARN. So if you want to test, send me an email to the address below with your Follower name. Only the first 5 or so testers emailing me will receive the pattern to test.

Testers Pictures of Foxs Holiday Duo

I'm probably going to split this into two different patterns instead of keeping them in one pattern.  I couldn't make up my mind from the suggestions as to what the new name of the two together should be.  Almost all of the testers said to call it them snowflake and blossom so I'll probably call them Holiday Snowflake and Holiday Blossom. Thanks for testing ladies and I'll upload any further pictures I receive to the blog.
