Testers Found - Fox's Amethyst Square 12x12

UPDATE: TESTERS ARE          JEWEL, PATRICIA L, LAURIE L., PAMELA R., VIOLA

It's rare for me to create squares that are all one color.  I always tend to want to add a lot of color.  This square is called Amethyst because that is the color of yarn I used.  I hope you like this design.

When I find enough testers I go back and change the title of this posting from Testers Wanted to Testers Found. Before emailing me, please go back and check this link to see if the title has been changed.

If you want to be a tester, read the instructions below and let's get started! Remember, everyone who tests any of the patterns will have their picture of the completed tested item shown in the blog next to their name as a tester. So show off your talents. I'd really like it if when I put the pattern up on Ravelry, if each tester or person who works this pattern would add it as a project there so I can post a link to everyone who makes this items pictures.

1. Must be a follower of this blog and a subscriber. Not a follower yet? Sign up. Let me know your follower name.

2. Must be able to finish testing by Thuarday July 1st.

3. Must be able to send me a picture of your finished item attached to an email.

4. Must be able to send me errors of any kind you find in the pattern.

5. It'd be a plus but is not mandatory, if you were a member of Ravelry so you can add the project when the pattern opens up to everyone.

6. You can use whatever colors of the ply of yarn that the pattern calls for.

If you want to test, send me an email to the address below with your Follower name. Only the first 5 or so testers emailing me will receive the pattern to test. Please don't post a comment that you'd like to test. I can't send a copy of the pattern to a "comment." You have to email me as it states.

Pictures

As people have been sending me pictures of their items, my computer has been filling up.  I'd like some input from some of you who might be able to help me figure this out.

If I create a group on Flickr - people can join the group and then send their pictures of completed items there and I can then link to show them here on the blog?  Right?  That seems to be what Flickr is implying.

If I create the Flickr group - there are 3 options and I'm not sure which would be the best option.  Any help would be appreciated in choosing which is the best for this situation.

Also, since I have tons of pictures from Followers on the blog, can I upload all of their pictures to Flickr and then delete them from my computer?  Would they still show on the blog or be like little red X's because the pictures have moved?  Would I have to go to Flickr and get each of the pictures and re-load them here to avoid the little red X's with blank pictures showing?

Is there a different option out there for a place that have people put their pictures in one place to be used on the blog?

Please send me emails with advice.

My sister Kathy's a wino

I'm just kidding with that title.  Kathy does love her wine though and she gets to drink on the job.  The reason for this posting is that she has a blog and I wanted to give any of you wine drinkers a heads up.  She's pretty darn good at blogging about wine.  She makes even me, a non-drinker want to try some of those bottles of reasonably priced wines.

Here's her profile: Wine Buyer, Wine Lover, Wine Geek, Wine Educator. I have been awarded the post-nominal of CSW ~ Certified Specialist of Wine by the Society of Wine Educators in Washington DC. I guess I just love wine and everything about wine! Wine was Jesus'first miracle and I think it still is! I'm married to a terrific guy, have a beautiful and brilliant daughter ~ Life is GOOD! If you want to chat wine, learn about wine, or ask a wine question - just email me: WineOnWednesday@aol.com

Here's the link  http://wineadvisornorthdallas.blogspot.com/   If you become a follower or a subscriber, please give a shout out that her big sister Donna sent ya!

Her daughter Lyndsay, goes to college at Baylor in Waco, TX and just flew to Nairobi, Africa.  She left on Thursday and arrived sometime on Friday.  I believe she is digging dinosaur bones up. She'll be living out at the dig.  I'm going to post pictures if or when I ever receive them.

Donna
P.S.  Kathy got all the looks but I got all the crocheting talent LOL
Oh and Kathy if you're reading this...........Love you MORE sistah!!!!!

E-Books of patterns

I've been mulling around the idea of creating a few E-books.  The round ripple collection is up and running on Ravelry now so it has instant downloading of the patterns in a 38 page e-book.  I'm still working on getting the second book up on Ravelry.  Right now it is about 74 pages.  They are both available on ETSY also.

Here they are.  I hope you like them.

Edith's Beautiful Star Baby Blankie

Flipped picture to show the star in the upright position (I know the picture looks "strange") flipped

Edith S. sent me this wonderful picture of a blanket she made using one of my patterns.  I think it's just so darned beautiful!  She used the Fox's Star Square.  Once again everyone, if you make a blanket using any of my patterns, I'd love to show it on the blog so please feel free to send me pictures.

Edith's email said - I used your star square pattern to make a baby blanket for a little boy. I finished it a while ago but I am only now sending a photo as my computer whiz son is nearby and will help me attach the photo so that you can see the blankie. The recipients loved the blankie.

Testers Found: Scrapity Scrap - Don't Talk Back 12x12

UPDATE:  TESTERS ARE - JEWEL, CASEY D, MOLLY, CAROLYN S, MARY BETH, PAULA, MARION, VIOLA, DENA, VIMS

I was going to call this my "Fugly" Scrapity Scrap because I can never pick colors for a "scrap" anything. I always end up co-ordinating everything.  So, I asked my hubby to just go pull me some different skeins of yarn without my influence and this is what it turned out to be.  Personally I don't like the colors he pulled from the piles. So sorry if you think this is "Fugly."  Hopefully you will pick some better color combinations.

Oh and don't be alarmed if I don't get back to you with the pattern really quickly.  We are having a lightening storm here in Walton, KY and I may need to turn the computer off for a while.

1. Must be a follower of this blog and a subscriber. Not a follower yet? Sign up. Let me know your follower name.

2. Must be able to finish testing by Sunday June 6th.

3. Must be able to send me a picture of your finished item attached to an email.

4. Must be able to send me errors of any kind you find in the pattern.

5. It'd be a plus but is not mandatory, if you were a member of Ravelry so you can add the project when the pattern opens up to everyone.

6. You can use whatever colors of 4 ply medium worsted yarn that you'd like.

If you want to test, send me an email to the address below with your Follower name. Only the first 5 or so testers emailing me will receive the pattern to test.

Please don't post a comment that you'd like to test.  I can't send a copy of the pattern to a "comment."  You have to email me as it states.
